President Judy Moore called the assembled group of Rotarians and Guests together on what was to be a very interesting and entertaining day.  Amy Krohn gave a very appropriate invocation, eight visiting Rotarians were introduced and a number of guests of Rotarians were welcomed by our President.

New member Judy Layman Peterson was introduced by Cindy Stewart and Thell Woods introduced new member Milton Wells.  President Judy remarked how nice it is to see the influx of talented and dedicated new members as represented by these two.  Welcome Judy and Milton!

Rotarian Mark Harsha and grandson of PDG Carl Sandelin, Steven Breisach were saluted as the newest Paul Harris Fellows.  Congratulations Mark and Steven. Thanks also to grandfather Carl!

A "Summary of General Club Operations" and a "Summary of Activity" of Rotary Club Charities was distributed at the tables and briefly explained by Club Treasurer Bob Kent. Contact Bob if you wish additional copies or have questions regarding the information.

The real gem of the day was the Program!  How can we ever forget "Rex and the Rotarians" and the Chicago-land Blues Concert they gave to the enraptured audience? Kalamazoo Rotary President-elect Rex Bell was featured on lead guitar and was the namesake of the group.  Dale Hein on harmonica, John Dillworth on keyboard, and Tim Kilmartin, vocalist, with percussionist Larry Booza and Deb Chope Hughes husband Bill on electric bass made up the band.  What a band!  They all performed so professionally with solo and group harmonics that it was hard to believe that they did so as a group with only three rehearsals.  Although they all perform with other groups in area venues we will look forward to the day when this group re-forms for another performance at Rotary.  Thanks guys!
