Giselda Torres was a Casa resident who went from a homeless young teen to an academic star at the University of Reynosa, because of the emphasis on education she received at Casa. Giselda, who was well-known and loved, was killed in a car accident only weeks before her graduation. Her memory and high goals of education and hope, however, live on in the endowment fund established by Kalamazoo Rotary.
